Aston Martin to rebadge Toyota IQ as city runabout!

One of the more bizarre stories going around the industry this afternoon is an announcement that Aston Martin are going to be launching a small city car called the Aston Martin Cygnet.

Want to know what it is? It's a Toyota IQ city car with an Aston Martin nose.

Initially, the car is going to be made available exclusively to Aston Martin owners. Apparently, one third of all Aston Martin owners also owns a Mini-sized car, so Aston Martin have reasoned that they can make a luxury small city car and sell it to their customers.

The price is supposed to be in the region of £20,000 and the car goes on sale at the end of the year. Aston Martin expect to sell between 1,000 and 2,000 Cygnets every year.
