G-Wiz insurance!

G-Wiz insurance!

Postby jordan120 » 13 Nov 2006 13:08

Hey All,

How much, and with which companies have people been insuring their G-Wiz's? I'm a young driver as well, so particularily interested in early/mid-twenties London G-Wiz drivers and their recommendations!

If you look at goingreen web site they post a number of insurers that will cover you. Not to blow my own trumpet but when I bought the car two years ago goingreen could not help and I had to use my own brokers to find a competitive deal but I think the situation has changed since then.

I think you will just have to ring around or go online to find the cheapest quote!

Just to rub salt in the wound, some of us older G-Wiz owners are paying just a touch over the £200 mark for fully comp. I tried to add my partner who is in her early 20's on to my policy and they were quoting £700+ fully comp!
New set of batteries for a grand plus or £100 excess for fire?.....Hmmmmmm....

What's this Cosmic, you are an older driver with a partner in her twenties??? What attracted her to you, was it the suave sophistication of your car?

If it's any help, I had to abandon my insurers of donkeys years (Frizzells with Lloyds) who wouldn't cover the G-Wiz, and I ended up with Direct Line at £190 a year fully comp protected, but owner only driving, it's garaged, and I'm an older driver (without a partner in her twenties, at least not that the wife knows about)

Haha. Well I'm a 22 year old driver, with no older partner....I'm imagine I'll be done over as normal on insurance, good stuff....car will be garaged though, which should make a big difference...

If you say so, F_A_R - but Reptilian Warlords probably qualify for special deals. (Where's his pills?)
